Laundry Night.

Tonight, in lieu of a Wednesday Wisdom (sorry guys, I’m packing for San Diego!), I’m posting a sponsored post for a recent test run I did for Purex plus Clorox 2.  The promotion challenged me to use Purex plus Clorox 2 to fight my toughest stains.

Besides for the dramatic and surprisingly large coffee stains I receive on a regular basis, I don’t have too many stains I consider to be stubborn…except for the dreaded, yellow underarm stains.  Gross.

I am constantly on the move.  When I’m not working, I’m exploring (like this weekend!) Being forever on the go means that my lovely white shirts are…a nightmare.  You’ll see me wearing hoodies a lot to hide the stains, or lately I’ve just shied away from white shirts all together.  So I put Purex plus Clorox 2 to the test!  If this stuff can fight any stain, it better be able to fight mine.

Ugh. I hate posting this, but below is the before picture so you get an idea of what we were dealing with here.  These are some old, disgusting stains.  Viewer digression advised.

Horrible.  So.  Per the directions, I poured detergent directly onto the stains.

Then let it sit for a few minutes before throwing it directly into the wash with a little extra detergent on top.

And that’s all I did.  No additional tricks up my sleeves (no pun intended).  I wasn’t expecting my shirts to come out looking like new, but I was pretty impressed with the results.

This is my best attempt at fair lighting to achieve a before and after photo.  While the stains aren’t completely gone, they’re definitely less!  Which is awesome!  Some life was brought back to these shirts of mine (which is great because that means more money for travel!)
